S.E.A.L.

There will be a recycling component added to Clean Sweep this year. Volunteers participating in the event may opt to get an extra, different-colored bag to separate the recyclables from the other trash picked up. The materials currently being recycled in Skagway are glass and aluminum. If deciding to take part, you may either take your bag of recyclables to the recycling bins at the public works shop at 5th & Alaska to sort yourself (preferred), or just leave the bag with the other trash bags and it will be picked up and sorted for you.

 

Several volunteers will be needed to help sort these collected materials into the appropriate bins. Contact the Chamber (983-1898) if you would like to help in this way, or meet at the ferry terminal at 9:00 am on Saturday.
